Luke's Legacy
Fighting for a Cure

About Luke Becker
Luke Becker’s story is one of joy, courage, and resilience. Born in Cumming, Georgia, to Milt and Adriana Becker, Luke was the younger brother to his sister Grace. From the moment he entered the world, he was full of energy and laughter, always ready to play and embrace life with an infectious enthusiasm. A passionate sports lover, Luke never met a game he didn’t want to play. Whether it was soccer, flag football, baseball, basketball, tennis, kickball, bowling, or golf, Luke was in. He was especially fond of cheering on his favorite teams—the Atlanta Braves and Baylor University sports teams—always with an energetic spirit and a big smile.

But in August 2020, life changed. After nearly two weeks of headaches and nausea, Luke was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The diagnosis was devastating, but his strength and determination were even more powerful. Though the tumor was successfully removed in a series of surgeries, the final diagnosis was pediatric glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer with no known cure.
Despite the harsh reality of his illness, Luke never allowed it to steal his joy. Over the next two and a half years, he faced four surgeries, four rounds of radiation, and over a year of chemotherapy—but through it all, Luke kept playing, laughing, and living life on his terms. Four days after one of his major surgeries, Luke returned to school and participated in his class’s annual kickball tournament. His body might have been fighting a fierce battle, but his spirit was unstoppable.
Luke’s journey also took him on incredible adventures. He met his sports heroes, visited dream destinations like Hawaii, Alaska, Disneyland, Disney World, and the Grand Canyon, and packed more into his twelve years than most do in a lifetime. His courage and joy were an inspiration to everyone around him.

On March 27, 2023, Luke passed away, surrounded by the love of his family and supported by a community that had rallied behind him through every step of his journey. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of strength, courage, and unwavering positivity continues to inspire all who knew him.
Luke’s life was a testament to living with purpose, joy, and love—no matter the challenges we face. His story reminds us to cherish each moment, to give everything we’ve got, and to love fiercely, just as he did. In his honor, we're partnering with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation to fund research for a cure and support families battling this disease.
Thank you for visiting this site and for considering a gift in Luke’s honor. Your support helps keep his spirit alive and brings hope to so many.
With gratitude, Milt, Adriana, and Grace Becker
