Team Claire
At just two years old, Claire was diagnosed with ATRT—a rare, aggressive, Grade 4 brain cancer. For children under three, the prognosis is often heartbreaking. Claire’s "toddlerhood" was quickly replaced by a grueling gauntlet: major surgery, five rounds of intensive chemotherapy (delivered to both her body and her brain), stem cell transplants, and six weeks of daily radiation under anesthesia. Despite these challenges and long periods of isolation, she continued to bring joy to everyone around her.
Today, Claire is a thriving four-year-old. Instead of hospital gowns, she wears tutus for ballet and leotards for gymnastics. She is proof that breakthroughs are possible—but we know that many families are still waiting for theirs. Because we were the "fortunate ones," we feel a deep responsibility to the children still fighting.
I am honored to join the board of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) to ensure that Claire’s recovery becomes the standard, not the exception.
PBTF is the leading patient advocacy funder of pediatric brain tumor research, and we are incredibly proud to support their mission. We are sharing this with you to build the vital early momentum needed to maximize our impact.
